The Last of Us Season 2 Trailer Reveals Dark Challenges for Joel and Ellie

Warner Bros. Discovery has released a new trailer for the second season of *The Last of Us*, offering a glimpse into the dark and dangerous world that Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) must navigate. The trailer showcases a snow-covered human settlement under attack by a horde of fungal-based zombies, along with intense scenes of explosions and a monstrous infected creature being incinerated with a flamethrower. There are also brief but tense clips of characters fleeing through the woods, a foreboding close-up of a sickle, and a disturbing shot of someone being hanged. Flashbacks depict Joel and Ellie in various harrowing situations, including Ellie sprinting and firing a handgun and traversing an underground train. The trailer concludes with a somber exchange between Ellie and Joel, where Ellie accuses Joel of breaking a promise.
